The collection made by Messrs. F. Baker and C. Waters on behalf of Mrs. Joseph Laycock to assist her and her family during Mr. Laycock's long and severe illness has realised thirteen pounds, two shillings, and six pence, which amount has been duly paid over to Mrs. Laycock.

DEATH: MR J. F. PLUMMER

The late Mr James F. Plummer, who died at the age of 72, on February 18, at his late residence, 57 Royal avenue, North Essendon, was well-known locally as a sporting enthusiast. He retired from the public service some years ago, where he had filled the responsible office of inspector of agriculture He leaves a widow and family of 11. He was born in Tasmania, and as a boxer won many trophies. He was a keen follower of both cricket and football. The funeral service was conducted by Rev P. B. Hayman, and the Masonic service by Bro. J. Bowles, of t he Kensington and Flemington Lodge. Pallbearers were Messrs. H. Gill, D. Lloyd, S. Saunders , W. Dunkley', W. Colliss, W. H. Crichton, P. Patchett and A E. Sully. The funeral arrangements were supervised by; Messrs. Jos. Allison Pty. Ltd.

He was married to Elsie May Toovey on 7 Feb 1895 in Balmain, NSW, Australia. Elsie May Toovey (29) was born on 25 May 1876 in Balmain, NSW, Australia. She died on 24 Aug 1962 in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. She was buried on 27 Aug 1962 in Fawkner Cemetery, Victoria, Australia. Cremated at Fawkner cemetery at COE K 1204.
